CARSON, Calif. - Los Angeles Galaxy forward Robbie Keane has returned to the MLS team with an injury to his adductor muscle after playing for the Ireland national team.
A Galaxy spokesman says Keane was scheduled to be examined by team doctors Friday.
Keane missed Ireland's 2012 European Championship qualifier against Armenia on Tuesday because of the injury, which is a partial tear of the inner thigh muscles.
Keane, Ireland's captain and career leader with 51 goals, complained of soreness in his adductor muscle after playing the full 90 minutes of last Friday's 2-0 win in Andorra.
